The majority of white wine from the Northern regions of Spain are fresh & fruity & made from a range of indigenous grapes but increasingly from international varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc.
We have chosen six whites that we feel walk you through the key grapes & capture the essence of such a large, diverse & to some extent uncelebrated area of white wine production. We have also chosen examples of wines where the wine makers have used oak fermentation & maturation as well as techniques such as lees stirring to add texture & more complex flavour to their whites.
